  • Mental Well-Being Coaching is similar to seeing a Physical Therapist. It’s a collaborative, active, and present-focused intervention that equips you with skills to navigate through challenging life situations. The main goal is to foster your growth as a client, encouraging you to become your own coach over time.

  • Mental Well-Being Coaches can help you with various challenges, such as stress, burnout, and mild to moderate anxiety. They also provide support with relationship issues, work-life balance, life transitions, and tough emotions like anger or grief.

  • Yes, all Mental Well-Being Coaches undergo rigorous training with organizations such as Lyra Health and Headspace Training Institute, and most are certified with the International Coaching Federation, a world-renowned professional coaching organization. Coaches are trained in evidence-based principles and techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Finally, Mental Well-Being Coaches are trained and equipped to refer clients to therapy when necessary.

  • Therapy is similar to going to the emergency room in a hospital. Therapists are licensed clinicians supporting clients who are experiencing severe symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, mental health diagnoses such as PTSD and suicidal thoughts, and any other symptoms that require specialized clinical support.

  • If you are experiencing any of the severe symptoms described above, the recommendation is to work with a Therapist.

    However, if you aren’t experiencing any of those severe symptoms, you can choose which type of mental health support (Mental HealthCoach or Therapist) best meets your needs. At the end of the day, find the person you feel safe and comfortable building a relationship with. I always encourage my clients to try a session with a Therapist or a Mental Health Coach to see how they feel in the session with the mental health professional.

  • Jocelyn has over 500 hours of coaching experience with 80+ clients in Mental Health Coaching. Her training comes from working as a mental health coach at Lyra Health.

    She’s also an Associate Certified Coach Certification with the International Coaching Federation.

Hi, I’m Jocelyn, a certified coach with a heart for emotional and mental well-being. I provide Mental Well-Being coaching for individuals in my private practice. I am also a Mental Health Coach with Lyra Health.

IIn addition to Mental Health and Well-Being coaching individuals, I’m also the host of the Empowered Working Mom Revolution Podcast, where our mission is to uplift and unite all working moms through the art of storytelling, and the Founder of NurturED Solutions, where our mission is to equip K-12 educational institutions with the tools, training, and support needed to cultivate caring environments that enhance the well-being and performance of school leaders, educators, and staff.

My coaching style is nurturing, genuine, insightful, and fun. I love helping people like you explore your values, thoughts, emotions, and behavior, which expands your self-awareness and empowerment to create a more fulfilling life.

As a working mom of two girls and a former educator in the public school system, I’ve learned that when you have the right tools and skills to care for your emotional and mental well-being, it positively impacts you and the people around you.
